On this page you will find documents to start a conversation with your Manager about your future career goals. Check our templates:

 

#1 Career Conversation Guide (for Managers)

  • To be used in the initial discussion and meeting, and to talk about long-term aspirations within the NTPC
  • Includes tasks for before, during, and after the meeting.
  • Includes conversation tips

 

#2 Career Development Workbook (for Employees)

  • Employee self-assessment and initial career pathing for growth within the corporation
  • To be completed before the meeting with your Manager
  • Includes conversation tips

 

#3 Talent Profile Guide 

  • To create a personalized development plan
  • Includes tasks to complete after the meeting.
  • To be reviewed by both the Manager and the Employee in a follow-up meeting

 

Remember, as an employee, if you would like to have a career conversation with your manager, let them know. Your manager can then set a time to meet, and you can both come prepared for the conversation by completing your respective documents (#1 and #2).

After you have had an opportunity to meet, your manager can start to develop a Talent Profile (#3) for you.
