Capital Projects

 

NTPC's capital program is developed and managed under the direction of the Projects and Engineering Division. Responsibility for the execution of individual capital projects may rest with other work groups or divisions, such as Information Technology, Transmission and Distribution and Hydro or Thermal Operations.

Notable Projects

  • Taltson Overhaul and Camp Replacement+
    • The first image at the bottom of the page shows the Taltson facility taken during a recent dam inspection.  The majority of the infrastructure is visible including the new camp which is currently in its final phases of construction.

    • This second image below is a group photo from the in-person ComAp training in Yellowknife in April 2024 (with attendees from Thermal and Hydro Ops, Engineering, SCADA and IT/OT). These are pilot projects implementing a completely new-to-NTPC automation system in two thermal plants, which may become the standard for all plants in the future.
