NTPC was just one of the organizations present at the Climate Change and Energy Fair, held in Hay River this past weekend. The fair was part of the broader Pond Hockey tournament, which welcomed teams from across the NWT as well as an Olympian and retired NHL players.

This was the first public event at which NTPC has had a physical presence in more than two years. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help staff our booth: Travis Perkins, Matt Lakusta, Colleen Davie and Paul Grant. As usual, our power generating bike was very popular with the kids so a special thanks to Vern Gardiner for delivering and picking up this valuable cargo!!

A team of NTPC employees from our Hay River office successfully completed the 2022 Walking Challenge. Since the start of the year, Team NTPC Hay River has collectively walked almost 1750 kilometres. The annual Walking Challenge is sponsored by the Northwest Territories Recreation and Parks Association.

People on the team include Heather Tybring, Bailey Corrigal, Chuck Myles, Colleen Davie, David Kopp-van Egteren, Erin Dean, Ian Flood, Jamie Tennant, Jannet Ann Legget, Marie Kopp-van Egteren, Matthew Lakusta, Rhona Cruzpe and Zhongren Wang.
