Another Canada Day has come and gone and once again NTPC has been able to represent in both Inuvik and Hay River.
Thanks to everyone who was able to put the floats together and to those who rode them down the streets waving at the hordes of red and white adorned folks lining the sidewalks.
This year's theme was RENEWABLE ENERGY! NTPC has been hard at work promoting renewable energy in the North and and this is yet another example!

Students from Ecole Boreal in Hay River recently spent a day cleaning up the community. This was part of an effort to raise funds for an international trip next year.
NTPC was pleased to be able to provide fluorescent vests for many of the students who were cleaning in areas close to the highway.

There has been considerable media coverage of a concept known as Net Zero in recent months. At the most basic level, Net Zero imeans not putting more carbon into the atmosphere that we are taking out. It's the next step in the fight against climate change, moving from emissions reduction to emissions elimination.
Electricity Canada has produced a video that explains what Net Zero means and some of the activities that will help Canada achieve Net Zero. Look for mention of the Inuvik Wind project as a significant project in the North!
