On Sunday, August 7, the first pole of the future distribution line from Inuvik Wind was installed.

The Project Team has met again and have made major headway on getting to the bottom of what makes reporting on outages tick, or maybe not tick is a better description... Ha!
Individuals from Operations and IT have been able to sift through and figure out where the headaches are and what kind of relief we can prescribe. From things like Quick Wins (solutions we can do in the short term) to things that likely will take some planning... But, the first step is knowing what the problem is and I am proud we have been able to get that far.
For anyone who is curious about what Outage Reporting is, and why it is so crucial to our company you can always reach out to me or someone on the Project Team. Just give me a ring and we can give you the scoop.

Two electric vehicles (EVs), a Ford Mustang and a Tesla, were recently parked in front of our corporate headquarters, perhaps foreshadowing the parking lot of the future.
The Government of Canada has introduced a plan that would ban the sale of new fossil fuel powered cars and light trucks by 2035 so the future may be closer than many of us think. The plan is not yet law but many observers expect legislation to be introduced before the next election.
A low-carbon emitting scooter was parked next to the EVs in a further indication that the days of gas-powered cars and trucks may be coming to an end.
