A planned outage in Tuktoyaktuk occurred this weekend to allow our Inuvik line crew to replace three feeder transformers that were showing signs of significant corrosion. See the attached document for more information and photos.

Great work by the team to get this important job completed. 

Safe Work Practice 1.32: COVID-19 Prevention & Control has been updated to require COVID-19 vaccination for contractors (see table below). 

All NTPC employees and contractors are required to abide by the current versions of these documents, found on PowerLine.  Please review the documents that pertain to your field of duties.

Key Changes

Added section 8.9: Contractor Vaccination

  • Contractors conducting work on NTPC worksites are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Contractors shall be prepared to show proof of vaccination when asked by an NTPC representative.
  • Contractors seeking exception shall make a written request to NTPC’s authorized representative and shall not enter an NTPC worksite until written permission from NTPC is provided granting exception.
  • Exceptions may only be granted by NTPC’s President & CEO in writing.
