Santa's sleigh was spotted doing fly-overs at Snare Hydro this weekend, so Plant Operator Christina Turnbull knew it was time to get the decorations up. Rumour has it that S.C. himself uses the Candy Corner to stuff stockings on occasion; poor kids are getting pudding packs and Asian noodles this year since the chocolate got melted due to furnace issues earlier this winter.  Fortunately, Wayne and Dustin are always making fresh cookies, so there will be lots of treats to go around.

20 Days till the big guy comes, so enjoy and be merry!

Thanks to a small group of employees, NTPC had a bright presence in the 2023 Hay River Santa Claus Parade. Thank you to Tim, Bailey, Marie and Daniel for your decorating expertise.

The Festival of Trees, an annual event in Hay River to support the Parent Action Committee at Princess Alexandra School, begins this weekend and runs through to early January. Kelsey Gill, Sharmayne Horton and Tiffany Demarcke have decorated an amazing Christmas tree on behalf of NTPC as part of the festival. Thank you for your creativity and originality.

The wind turbine design is sure to be a favourite among all the trees on display.

Although NTPC was fortunate that the 2023 wildfires did not have as much impact on our infrastructure as could have been the case, there was definitely some damage done.

Earlier this month, a damaged transmission tower on the Taltson line was replaced.
