The August 2023 edition of the all-Canadian Health, Wellness, and Safety Newsletter is here!  Inside this month’s issue you'll find articles on preparing for heat waves, sun safety, outdoor electrical hazards, struck-by hazards and much more.  Have a read!

The Northwest Territories Health and social Services Authority has created a Referral Program to support recruitment of nurse practitioners, doctors and registered nurses to the NWT. This program offers up to $2000 to any GNWT employee (which includes NTPC employees for the purpose of this program) who successfully refers a candidate to an open indeterminate or term position of greater than a year.

Thanks to a dedicated group of employees and family members, NTPC was well represented in Hay River's Canada Day Parade. Thank you to everyone who helped decorate the truck and/or participated in the parade. Your support and enthusiasm is appreciated by us all.

NTPC goes through MILLIONS of litres of fuel... Which means MILLIONS of dollars are involved!

Thanks to the Continuous Improvement(CI) Project Team we have been able to do the unthinkable. They have:
1. Mapped the whole thing out; from how NTPC receives fuel, to reporting it, to reconciling the numbers to pushing it to the financial statements
2. Identified over 60 opportunities for improvements
3. Built 6 Action Plans
4. Paved a road for NTPC to help alleviate frustrations across 8 different positions, and over 60 tasks which use dozens of documents and tools

Now, let's push forward and make things better. Thank the team below for their hard work.
