Another year of hosting the Hay River Amazing Race has come and gone. Five competitive teams took to the line at 6:45pm on Tuesday Sept 24th, 2019 to show their worth. Cricket Trivia kicked them off to a plethora of events ranging from searching, running, swimming and relay racing until crossing the finish line marking their place! The following teams were made up of five determined individuals to try and claim victory:

The Challengers
The Running Joke
Just Warehousin' Around
The Deplorables
Control+Alt+Defeat (The past two-year champs)
Better Late Than Pregnant (Current champs)

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.  Click here for a brochure that can be a great conversation starter at work, at home, and with your friends. Let's talk about what we can do to raise awareness of suicide prevention this month and reach out to loved ones who need help. 

NTPC has an Employee Assistance Program that can provide support during challenging times. 

Interested in weekly emails that can support mental health at work? Workplace Strategies for Mental Health is a free online resource that has "Working Through It" weekly emails that can be sent directly to you each week. The topics vary but over the last few weeks topics included:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Managing emotions at work
  • Reactions out of balance

Be sure to share this information with any family or friends that could also benefit from this free information.

A project in Inuvik is nearing completion that will extend the useful life of Tank F. When finished, the tank will have been sandblasted and painted. 

The early arrival of fall in Inuvik posed a challenge but the project will soon be done. Great work by the crew who worked on this project.
