NTPC hosted the annual workshop of the Canadian Electricity Association's Service Continuity Committee in Yellowknife this year. For anyone who is wondering, Service Continuity is the "official" term for outage reporting. The workshop was well-attended, with representatives from utilities across Canada, including Nova Scotia Power, Hydro One, Epcor, Northland Utilities, and many more. In addition to the usual topics of discussion, the participants were all extremely interested in learning more about the unique challenges of generating and distributing electricity in our operating environment. Special thanks to Norm McBride and Mervin Penney for putting on a great tour for the group, to Myra Bowerman for taking notes during the meetings, and to Gary Gazankas and Myra Berrub for their informative presentations.
