Performance & Benchmarking

Performance and benchmarking involves gathering and analyzing data about NTPC's operations to help decision-making processes.

NTPC results are compared (benchmarked) against relevant numbers from other utilities or organizations such as the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) whenever possible.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining performance improvement throughout organization
  • Collecting, analyzing and benchmarking against industry standards
  • Identifying areas requiring process changes or additional investigation.
  • Championing process improvements and change.

Key Performance Indicators - What are they?

KPIs are an organizational health check. They are calculated values that give us a measurable answer to the question “How are we doing?” for various operational processes and strategic objectives of our business. The purpose of KPIs is to help us do our jobs better by identifying areas where we should focus our improvement efforts. The corporate KPI report is published quarterly, and is shared with NTPC's Board of Directors and all employees.
