Camp Engies is a Canadian not-for-profit, volunteer-led camp, created by women in engineering for future women in engineering. Its mission is to: Inspire young women to connect and unleash their potential in engineering. More information about the organization can be found on their website.
Two day camps were held earlier this summer in Yellowknife and Whitehorse and NTPC was proud to be one of the many companies which sponsored the participation of NWT girls and young woman in this unique endeavour.
We received a thank you letter that included the following: "I am thrilled to share that, thanks to your generous support and commitment to fostering gender equality and diversity, our recent Yellowknife Camp was a great success. Your sponsorship plays a crucial role in empowering Indigenous girls and young women to pursue careers in engineering. By providing these bright and ambitious individuals with opportunities and resources, you are not only supporting their personal growth but also contributing to a more inclusive and innovative future in STEM."
