NTPC and UNW Help Bring Night-time Skating to Inuvik

An outdoor rink at the Ingamo Hall Friendship Centre in Inuvik is now available for night-time hockey and skating thanks to a co-operative effort of NTPC, the Union of Northern Workers (UNW) and the Inuvik line crew.

UNW Local 19 donated a streetlight, NTPC donated use of the equipment needed to install the streetlight and the line crew donated their time to install much needed lighting over the outdoor rink. Use of the rink is expected to increase significantly now that lighting is in place.

A huge shoutout to the Line Crew for recognizing an opportunity to improve recreational opportunities for local residents and stepping up to bring the project to fruition! Great work!!
