In the evening of Thursday September 20 the Hay River Social Committee held its 2nd annual Amazing Race. This year there were to be seven teams but one had to drop out due to fear *cough cough Annette*, so instead there were six. Teams ranged from four-six people and with volunteers included we ended up having around 45 people involved! The point of the game is to battle it out for the sought after Amazing Race trophy. The winners get to hold onto it until the next race, and at this time they are expected to defend their title.
CONGRATULATIONS to Ctrl+Alt+Defeat, from IT, to securely defend the title and hold the trophy for another year.
THANK YOU everyone who participated and helped work the stations! We are excited for it to continue next year.
How the game works:
The game starts off with an event/activity. Once the teams finish this event they get a clue. This clue is the location of the next event. Once there they must perform that event and get the next clue, and so on... But, there are bonuses you can get to take away from your time and penalties to add if you stumble up! The goal is to cross the finish line as fast as possible, to capture some bonuses and avoid deadly penalty minutes.
