Ian Flood and his wife Jarka have been in Canada for just over five years and when asked why they decided to become citizens, Ian replied that if you are committed to living here, you should make the effort.
"I can now vote, and join the Rangers if I wish, although the fire department keeps me busy," explains Ian. "It feels as though I have accomplished something good and worthwhile and it has made me feel..well...more CANADIAN!"
Ian and Jarka became Canadian citizens on March 16, 2017.
