Running and Jumping to Victory

Lindsey Woodford, daughter of Yellowknife power lineman Keith Doran, was a big winner at the recent NWT Track and Field Championships in Hay River. Lindsay finished first in the all-round competition for 2^nd Year Bantam Girls.  She competed in the high jump, long jump, triple jump and 100 metre sprint, finishing first in all three of the jumping events.

Lindsey set the high jump record for 1^st Year Bantam Girls last year. While she was unable to set a new high jump record for 2^nd Year Bantam Girls during the official competition, she did exceed the record following the meet.
