First Aid Training in Action

Image

While returning from a trouble call in Fort Liard on Saturday, Fort Simpson linesmen, Clod Manalo & Kerry McKinley, were the first on scene of accident about 10 kilometres outside of Ft. Liard.

They arrived on scene minutes after an operator had over turned a Skidder on the side of the high way. Upon investigation they found an injured man inside the cab.  Kerry & Clod applied immediate first aid, called local emergency services and stayed on scene until the RCMP arrived. Brian Hope, the Fort Liard plant superintendent, drove the injured man to the medical Centre escorted by the RCMP.

First aid training is essential for our crew but also others in our lives...whether family, friends, coworkers or strangers.

Well done Kerry, Clod and Brian!!
