Emergency Preparedness Week

It's Emergency Preparedness Week in Canada.

In the event of an emergency, there is a good chance that NTPC employees will be required to help -- whether it is getting the power restored during an outage, or monitoring power supply during a flood -- in many ways we are first responders.

It is important to have your family prepared so that you are able to assist in the larger scale emergency if required -- that means making sure your family knows the risks, has a plan and an emergency kit. If you have pets, it means having a plan for them too...especially if you live alone.  Visit the website www.getprepared.gc.ca to put your plan together.

Know the risks.

Make a plan.

Get a kit.

Being prepared means being safe.
