Charlie Simpson, Plant Superintendent in Whati, recently celebrated an impressive milestone when he achieved 30 years of service with NTPC. It is extremely rare for a Plant Superintendent/plant operator to remain in that position for such an extended period and his long service was recognized by local residents and NTPC colleagues during a celebration at the Whati Cultural Centre on August 7. While not everyone who wanted to was able to attend, an invitation to the event on social media received a number of positive comments from current and former colleagues.
A total of approximately 100 people attended. Among those who made it to the celebration were (left to right): Anthony Spink, Cory Strang, Charlie himself, Eileen Hendry, Scott Adlem-Qilluniq, Rob Closs, Dean Hendrickson and Michael Rabesca.
Thanks Charlie for your commitment to keeping the lights on in Whati since 1994!!
