Charter Air Operator Standard 

The Manager authorizes the issue of PPE and records it on this form.  PPE is issued:

• Upon initial hire.
• When additional equipment is required for tasks.
• When PPE is damaged/worn.

In order to ensure purchases of health, safety, and environment meet legislative and corporate safety requirements, only those items on this list can be purchased, and must be requisitioned.  HSE items cannot be purchased by credit card.

Site Orientations introduce workers to:

• Site layout.
• Key site/community locations and services.
• Site specific safety expectations.
• Site responsibilities and authorities.
• Emergency and first aid procedures.
• Required personal protective equipment.
• General hazard identification & control.
• Communication methods.

Tool to provide a Site Orientation to visitors (i.e., any person visiting a facility/worksite for a day or less and who will not work at the site).

• Required each time prior to entering an NTPC worksite.
• Visitors must be accompanied at all times by a Qualified Worker.
