Used to report safety, environmental, property damage, and ergonomic concerns. Allows unsafe conditions to be corrected before an incident takes place.
Not to be confused with Incident Reports, which report events rather than conditions.
As soon as possible after an NTPC or contractor Medium or High RPH incident, work shall stop and the manager, Project Manager, or Worksite Monitor shall hold a safety meeting with all workers involved, including contractors. The safety stand-down meeting is an opportunity to:
- Show commitment to safety.
- Understand what happened and why.
- Ensure the workplace is safe before workers return to work.
- Communicate safety expectations going forward.
Details of the meeting shall be documented on Form 10.9: Post Incident Safety Stand-Down, which includes discussion points, an attendance sheet, and an action plan. This meeting will also help in the preparation of thorough incident and investigation reports.
In the event of an incident and anticipated emergency Form 11.4: Emergency Declaration Guidelines shall be followed to determine the level of emergency. It covers the following:
- Notification of Incident
- Emergency Declaration and Response
- Emergency Cancellation
- Lessons Learned
- Debrief
A set of documented procedures to prepare for a pandemic emergency with measures for prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
A form used to document emergency evacuation drills.
Updated quarterly. Includes:
- Summary of Incident Reports.
- Summary of Concern Reports.
- Injury statistics (type, frequency, severity).

Used to:
- Determine the project safety needs.
- Assign Principal Contractor (party responsible for project safety) – either NTPC or the contractor.
